Over 50 years of Experience

Our office clinical and business staff have accumulated over 50 years of dental experience. Dr. Leaf encourages continuing education and has supported many of our staff in completing both dental hygiene and dental school. Dr. Leaf and his staff maintain current CPR certification, x-ray certification, and attend many continuing education seminars throughout the year. All doctors are members of local, state, and national professional organizations.

Dr. Scott H. Leaf

Dr. Scott H. Leaf, in private practice since 1983, provides dental care to children from infancy through adolescence, as well as those with special needs. A graduate of Georgetown University's School of Dentistry, Dr. Leaf completed his pediatric dental residency at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He is currently affiliated with the Hospital and treats private patients requiring general anesthesia. Dr. Leaf has been named as a Top Pediatric Dentist by Washingtonian Magazine.

Dr. Leaf is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, and was a Virginia representative to the American Society of Children’s Dentistry.

When not treating patients, Dr. Leaf enjoys traveling, swimming and has a passion for all things equestrian. He is a harness racer and as an amateur driver has competed since 1991. His victories include wins at the prestigious track in Mikkeli, Finland, and he was the first American to win a trotting race in Estonia. He continues to be active in racing; and is an owner, breeder and collector of equestrian art. Dr. Leaf is active in the community and local schools, visiting classrooms to educate students on proper dental hygiene. Dr. Leaf also sponsors area youth sports teams.

Dr. Caitlyn Nuger

After completing her degree in biology and sociology from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Dr. Nuger pursued her dental degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. She then finished her pediatric training at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia where she spent two years treating infants, children and adolescents, as well as those with special needs. Playing an intricate role in the hospital's emergency and trauma department, she gained valuable experience in treating children under conscious sedation and general anesthesia.
Dr. Nuger is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Virginia Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, and as of October, 2016, is board certified. What Dr. Nuger loves most about treating children of all ages is the ability to comfortably guide them through their dental visits and procedures to ensure a future of positive dental experiences.
Having grown up in a dental home and working in her father's dental practice, she has a unique perspective on dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, skiing, and spending time with her family. She is an avid dog enthusiast and loves to visit her family labradoodle, Wilson. Dr. Nuger recently moved to the Northern Virginia area and is excited to become part of our community.

Dr. Chi-Yi Lin

Dr. Chi-Yi Lin is a native of Taiwan and received his Dental degree from Taipei Medical University and New York University. He completed a two-year residency in Pediatric Dentistry at New York University and is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist.

Previously, Dr. Lin was on the faculty of New York University College of Dentistry as a Clinical Instructor in Pediatric Dentistry and West Virginia University School of Dentistry as an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Dentistry. He has been in private practice in Taiwan and New Jersey prior to relocating to the DC/ Northern Virginia area.

Dr. Lin is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Dental Association.

Dr. Dennis Cetlin

Dr. Dennis Cetlin is a graduate of Tufts Dental School in 1976. He was a Resident in Orthodontics at Einstein Orthodontics in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has been in independent practice of orthodontists in the State of Virginia since 1980. Dr. Cetlin works in our Burke Office.


Front Desk Coordinator

Ruby joined our practice in June, 2011. She is a long time Northern Virginia resident and graduated from a local high school.  She enjoys working with kids -their smiles bring her great joy.  Ruby loves going to the movies and spending time with her family and friends. Ruby is also fluent in Spanish.



Daneil joined our practice in May, 2015. She has several years of prior experience in pediatric dentistry. In her spare time she likes to read, watch movies, and spend time with her family. She has two wonderful children, C.J. and Naomi. 


Business Manager

Linda first came to work with Dr. Leaf in June, 1990, and is a native Washingtonian.  She studied Health Administration at Towson University in Baltimore and has more than 30 years experience in the field.  She loves working in pediatric dentistry!  In her spare time, she enjoys rubber stamping, cardmaking, volunteering, reading, and spending time with friends.


Lead Assistant

Maria is a certified dental assistant and has been with the practice since July, 2002.  She enjoys working with kids and keeping their teeth healthy.  Seeing them with beautiful smiles is her greatest reward!  She enjoys reading, swimming, bike riding and family gatherings.  Maria is also fluent in Spanish.


Dental Assistant

Amanda is a certified dental assistant and has been with our practice since July, 2007. She is from Peru where her father is a dentist, specializing in Orthodontics.  She attended dental school for three years and then moved to the United States to be with her mom. She loves working with the adorable children and following her passion! In her free time, Amanda enjoys reading to her son MarioAntonio, visiting museums, and swimming. She is also fluent in Spanish. 


Dental Assistant

Sarah joined our practice in October, 2013. Currently she is studying finance at George Mason University. She hopes to attend dental school in the future. Sarah loves working with all the kids and seeing them smile! In her spare time she enjoys reading, hiking, and cooking.
